Artisan Landscape for AutoCAD & BricsCAD

Non Planting

Introduction

The Non Planting tools enable users to define, quantify, label, and manage landscape elements that are not associated with planting. These items can include site furniture, paving components, lighting, fencing, signage, construction elements, and other specification-based objects used throughout landscape and site design projects.

Artisan provides a range of non-planting workflows that allow users to create accurate labels from existing symbols, lengths, areas, and other drawing entities. Labels can be automatically quantified from selected objects, ensuring that schedules and reports remain consistent with the design. The appearance and content of labels are controlled through Artisan preferences and insertion options, allowing documentation standards to be maintained across projects.

The Non Planting tools also include facilities for editing and managing existing labels, updating specification information, modifying user-defined data, and maintaining the integrity of project documentation. Changes made to non-planting records can be reflected throughout associated labels and reports, helping to streamline revisions and reduce manual editing.

This section explains the commands available within the Non Planting ribbon panels and provides guidance on creating, editing, and managing non-planting information as part of a coordinated Artisan workflow.

The Artisan data system of Palettes - Labels - Reports, fully supports both  Planting and Non Planting information.
