All Planting - Single Species & Mix Components

Select All Planting (single species + mix components) from the Filter by menu...

The selected labels list displays Planting Single Species and Mix Components...

If a mix component is selected, users are able to modify the Mix Percentage (Mix %) value, but are unable to modify the Label Template (Header or Detail) or the User Data fields as these must apply to all Planting Mix Components.

Note that Mix Name is displayed (greyed out) when a Mix Component is selected - (Multiple) signifies the selected component is included in more than one mix.

Certain fields are not available for editing when selecting Mix Components as these are applied to ALL COMPONENTS in the selected mix...

The above fields can be edited (for ALL COMPONENTS in the selected mix) by filtering/selecting Mix Planting Headers.

Change details as required for associated specification information or user data and notes. Note that users are able to select multiple records for editing.

If different values have been assigned to fields when more than one label is selected, the entry "(Multiple)" is displayed accordingly.

Note that applying changes to fields when multiple selections have been made, will result in ALL SELECTED labels being edited accordingly.

Plant Spacings

Plant Spacings values are used to calculate planting numbers for Area Planting and Linear Planting. Centres values record the distance between individual plants and is interchangeable between area planting and linear planting. Density values record the number of plants per area (e.g. m2, ft2) or length (e.g. m, ft) and there is a direct relationship between 'Centres' and 'Density' when values are entered as denoted by the equals sign (=) between the two edit boxes.

Specify values as required in either Centres or Density and the corresponding value is calculated in the other box.

The Fixed Quantity box (Fixed Qty) is used if users want to overwrite the automatic planting quantity calculation (not recommended).

Note that if more than one label is selected for plants with different Planting Spacing values, the entry "(Multiple)" is displayed accordingly.

Overwriting "(Multiple)" with a single value in either Centres or Density and picking 'Apply' will change 'all selected' plants to the same Planting Spacings value.

Labels

The Labels area is divided into 'Header' and 'Details' and users are able to define what information is displayed in either section and whether or not each is displayed (shown).

Header and Details are defined from a combination of 'expressions' and 'free text'. A pop-down list offers pre-defined options for Header and Detail items...

Label Headers are stacked above Item Details and can be applied for both single species planting labels or for planting mixes (comprising a mix name and associated planting components, specifications and percentages).

Coverage Percentage

Users are able to alter the percentage coverage for linear or area planting by entering a value in the Coverage % field. Note this is not available for individual plants that are part of a Planting Mix.

Slope Factor

Users are able to change the slope factor for linear and area planting (single species or mixes) by selecting a value from the Level pop-down menu.

Characteristics

The View Characteristics command is available at the bottom left of the Edit Planting dialog.

Pick Apply to commit changes to the selected label(s).
