Additional Data Fields

Use Additional Data Fields to Create Schedules for different records from the same drawing.

By default, an Artisan schedule will display ALL ARTISAN LABEL records that will be grouped/sorted and include fields. In the Data area, arguably the most important area is Data Filters , where users define what records are/are not included in the schedule.

Additional data fields applied when labels are placed or subsequently using the Edit Labels tools, provide powerful options for grouping, sorting and filtering project information in schedules.

The following Additional Data Fields are available for users to sort Artisan label information to meet project requirements.

With all Additional Data Fields, users are able to determine what information sorting/filtering is required on a project-by-project basis. The names of the Additional Data Fields are indiactive of the type of information that users may want to record, but should simply be seen as 'information containers' that can be used as required. Artisan schedules allow users to define any 'Header Text' against an Artisan Field.

Below are examples of how each of the above Additional Data Fields could be used to display or conceal label information in a schedule. Note that users are also able to use Additional Data Fields to sort records in schedules (Data Grouping and Data Fields).

Location

The Location field can be used to assign geographical notations but can equally be used for other project outcomes such as phasing.

If labels have been placed (or edited) to associate information with project phases (Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 etc), a schedule could define the following Data Filter to only include information for Phase 1.

A schedule could alternatively use the Data Filter to exclude information from a defined Location.

Objective

The Objective field can be used to define design intent for project information. Such classification could be part of the project information requirement.

If labels have been placed (or edited) to record design intent for specific planting within a project (Structure Planting, Ornamental Planting, General Amenity Planting, Biodiversity Planting etc), a schedule could define the following Data Filter to only include information for Structure Planting.

User Data 1

The User Data 1 (Data1) field can be used to define any required classification to assist the project deliverables.

The User Data 1 (Data1) field could be used to assign label information against relevant sheets to ensure that schedules display only the information visible in a defined view template. In the example below, the Data Filter (Data1 - Contains - Sheet 1) has been defined to display only the label information associated with Sheet 1.

User Data 2

The User Data 2 (Data2) field can be used to define any required classification to assist the project deliverables.

The User Data 2 (Data2) field could be used to identify 'Mix Planting' in order to be able to differentiate between single species and mixes.

In the example below, the Data Filter (Data 2 - Not Equal To - Mix Planting) has been defined so as not to display Mix Planting... i.e. to display only single species information.

To display single species planting and exclude Mix Planting, set the Data Filter as Data 2 - Contains - Mix Planting.
