Active Topo Surface - Subregions
Care needs to be exercised before modifying topographies to ensure that the correct Phasing is being worked on. It will be common practice to have an Existing Topo at the early stage of a project and it is recommended that this is copied to a new Proposed Topo that is assigned to e.g. the New Construction Phase. When subsequently making modifications to the Proposed Topo, comparissons can be made between this and the Existing Topo, which enables Cut and Fill calculations and analysis to be undertaken.
The Area Pad tools require the selection of a Subregion which is assigned to a Topo so due dilligence is required to ensure that a Proposed Topo has been assigned to a New Construction Phase.
