Placement Options

Existing Trees are placed in the current model as defined under Placement Options in the Place Existing Tree dialog...

Geographical Alignment

Landscape projects should be geographically located  so that Existing Trees can be aligned automatically using Easting and Northing coordinates used in the tree survey.

An option is available for users to manually place an Existing Tree at a known location with other Existing Trees placed relative to this position if the project has not been goegraphically located.

Place Tree as 2D Symbol Only

Users have the option of initially placing Existing Trees as 2D symbols only in order to speed up placement. This may be beneficial when dealing with a substantial number of trees or when an immediate plan view is required. Toggling off the "2D Only" instance parameter subsequently will switch on the 3D properties.

Existing Trees are placed in plan view categorised by colour to denote quality and value in outline or shaded fill with accurate representation of tree canopies measured at four cardinal points. The Root Protection Area (RPA) is calculated based on the recorded stem diameter that is displayed as a dashed line around individual trees. Existing Trees are placed in 3D views and are sized automatically by dimensions recorded in the imported tree survey.

Users have the option of displaying Existing Tree information in Plan View as either outline or colour fill. There is a quick key to switch between preferred displays.

Tags can be displayed automatically when Existing Trees are placed or alternatively when Existing Trees are already in the model using the Place Tag from the ribbon.

A default Existing Trees Schedule is created automatically when Existing Trees have been placed in the model.
