Standard Workflow - Data Tools

Purpose

The Data ribbon panel is used to place standard content from Artisan data libraries into a drawing. This includes symbols and details that support landscape design documentation.


Standard Workflow

1. Open the Data Panel

2. Configure Data Insertion Options

Before inserting any library content:

3. Insert a Symbol

Use this process when adding standard symbols to the drawing:

  1. Select Insert Symbol.
  2. Browse the Artisan Symbol Library.
  3. Locate and select the required symbol.
  4. Confirm any placement settings.
  5. Place the symbol at the required location in the drawing.
  6. Verify scale, rotation, and positioning.

4. Insert a Detail

Use this process when adding standard details to the drawing:

  1. Select Insert Detail.
  2. Browse the Artisan Detail Library.
  3. Select the required detail.
  4. Confirm insertion settings.
  5. Place the detail in the appropriate drawing location.
  6. Check that the detail displays correctly and meets project standards.

5. Validate the Inserted Data

After inserting symbols or details:


Recommended Standard Practice

  1. Set Data Insertion Options first.
  2. Insert all required Symbols.
  3. Insert any required Details.
  4. Perform a final review of layers, scale, and placement.
  5. Save the drawing.

Available Commands

Command Purpose
Insert Symbol Places a symbol from the Artisan Symbol Library into the drawing
Insert Detail Places a detail from the Artisan Detail Library into the drawing
Data Insertion Options Controls how data is inserted into the drawing
