Purpose
The Data ribbon panel is used to place
standard content from Artisan data libraries into a drawing. This includes
symbols and details that support landscape design documentation.
Standard Workflow
1. Open the Data Panel
- Launch Artisan within AutoCAD or BricsCAD.
- Navigate to the Data ribbon
panel.
2. Configure Data Insertion Options
Before inserting any library content:
- Review the current Data Insertion
Options.
- Confirm settings such as scale, layer assignment,
placement behaviour, and any project-specific standards.
- Ensure the options are appropriate for the drawing you
are working in.
3. Insert a Symbol
Use this process when adding standard symbols to the
drawing:
- Select Insert Symbol.
- Browse the Artisan Symbol Library.
- Locate and select the required symbol.
- Confirm any placement settings.
- Place the symbol at the required location in the
drawing.
- Verify scale, rotation, and positioning.
4. Insert a Detail
Use this process when adding standard details to the
drawing:
- Select Insert Detail.
- Browse the Artisan Detail Library.
- Select the required detail.
- Confirm insertion settings.
- Place the detail in the appropriate drawing
location.
- Check that the detail displays correctly and meets
project standards.
5. Validate the Inserted Data
After inserting symbols or details:
- Confirm the correct library item was used.
- Verify placement is on the correct layer.
- Check scale and orientation.
- Ensure the inserted content complies with drawing
standards and project requirements.

- Save the drawing.
