Multi Layer

Select Boundary to Solid - Multi Layer from the Terrain Tools panel...

 

The Boundary to Solid - Multi Layer tool projects a 2D boundary onto a TIN surface and then projects by a specified depth/height to create a Solid. The Multi Layer tool allows the creation of a layered build up with a Solid being created for each layer (profile).

Note that a Closed Polyline needs to have been created prior to running the Boundary to Solid tool.

Users are prompted to define the required Solid Layer Selection...

Add layers and define thickness as required. Note that users are able to place profile layers above and below Ground Level. Use Up/Down arrows to move profile layers as required.

Pick Submit to confirm Solid Layer Selection.

Select Closed Polyline

Follow the prompt to Select a Closed Polyline. Note that multiple polylines can be selected.

Select TIN Surface

A prompt is displayed to Select the TIN Surface...

Select the TIN Surface to project the Closed Polyline on to.

The new multi layered Solids are created...

Multi Layered Solids placed above/below TIN surface as defined.

Change properties of Multi Layered Solids (profiles) as required including colours and materials...
