The Create Root Ball utility provides an indicative mass for proposed trees at maturity to mitigate clashes. Structural roots generally grow within 2.0m (6ft) of the eventual canopy spread of a tree. Root Balls can be created for all proposed trees in the current model or for a user-defined selection, such as a line of proposed trees adjoining an existing or intended service run.
Pick Create Root Ball to display the Create Root Balls dialog.
By default, all proposed trees in the model are selected and users are able to deselect instances as required.
Pick Show to view highlighted tree instance in 3D view...
Root Balls will be hosted on the Topo selected from pop-down list...
Pick Generate Root Balls to create place defined root ball massing for the selected trees.
A progress bar is presented as the Root Ball massing is calculated and created..
