The Create Root Ball utility provides an indicative root ball mass for existing trees to mitigate clashes. The Root Protection Area (RPA) for existing trees is used as the basis for dynamically creating the root ball volume. Root Balls can be created for all existing trees in the current model or for a user-defined selection, such as a line of existing trees adjoining an intended service run.
Pick Create Root Ball by Selection and pick existing trees as required. Pick Finish after completing selection to display the selected trees in the Create Root Balls dialog.
Users are able to deselect instances as required.
Pick Show to view highlighted tree instance in 3D view.
Root Balls will be hosted on the Topo selected from pop-down list...
Pick Generate Root Balls to create place defined root ball massing for the selected trees. A progress bar is displayed while each existing tree root ball is being created...
Root Balls are created for selected existing trees in the model and can be used subsequently for clash detection.
