Active Topo Surface
Care needs to be exercised before modifying topographies to ensure that the correct Phasing is being worked on. It will be common practice to have an Existing Topo at the early stage of a project and it is recommended that this is copied to a new Proposed Topo that is assigned to e.g. the New Construction Phase. When subsequently making modifications to the Proposed Topo, comparissons can be made between this and the Existing Topo, which enables Cut and Fill calculations and analysis to be undertaken.
Select the topo to be modified using the pop-down list box which will display all available topos in the current model. Note that in the example below, a Proposed Topo has been created by copying the Existing Topo and placing the Proposed Topo on the New Construction Phase.
There is an option to set the selected Topo as the default for future operations.
