Purpose
Add data grouping to web report
Usage
1. Select Add New Group
Select Add New Group from the Select Action menu at the bottom right of the window. |
2. New Report Grouping dialog
The New Report grouping dialog displays. Enter the details for the grouping. Then Click OK to confirm the add. |
Notes
Rank or order of the grouping is only relevant if the report has at least two grouping fields. In that case the sub reports will be ordered by the values of the fields in the grouping fields ranked by this Order value.
For example if grouping by Class (Rank 1) and Subclass (Rank 2) then Shrubs - Roses will be beforeTrees - Conifer but if grouping by Subclass (Rank 1) and Class (Rank 2) then Conifer - Trees will be before Roses - Shrubs.
Field the data field that the report is grouped by. For example if grouping by Class then there will be a subreport for trees, shrubs etc. The grouping field does not have to also be a display field, usually it does not make sense to both group on and display a field.
